As Think Great Insights Market Research Consultancy and Education Limited Company (“Think Great Insights” for short), this policy, which aims to enlighten the relevant people about our practices regarding personal data obtained during the conduct of our research, education and consultancy activities, valid for all collected data from any source.
Think Great Insights may update the content and scope of this text as needed as a result of changes and developments in the Personal Data Protection Law (Law) No. 6698 and related legislation or company activities.
Think Great Insights acknowledges that it assumes responsibility for the protection and security of personal data in accordance with the Policy provisions shared here.
Our Policy on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data includes the full-time, part-time, staff of Think Great company, data provided by research owners for Think Great, data obtained by Think Great’s research projects, data from 3rd Party companies working with Think Great, and this includes data that can be obtained during the visit to the website and through electronic communication, or data from other sources, personal data shared by consumers or individuals who are experts in a particular profession within the scope of their applications to participate in research projects, personal data shared on social media or the Internet.
- Personal Data Collection Method and Legal Reason
The personal data of our customers, suppliers and other business stakeholders are processed primarily in order to fulfill the obligations imposed by us on the legislative provisions, especially the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 and the Tax Procedure Law No. 213.
In addition to fulfilling our legal obligations, your personal data is processed in order to ensure customer satisfaction, which is our most important principle, for purposes such as providing the highest level of service you want, and determining the appropriate services for you quickly and accurately.
Your personal data, to improve our services offered to you, to announce our products and campaigns, to plan and execute the management and communication activities and strategies correctly, to communicate with you when you submit your requests and complaints, to manage your demands and complaints, to improve the quality of service, to be a service provider of third parties. It can also be processed for purposes such as enabling them to perform logistics and other similar functions on our behalf.
Think Great Insights may need personal data related to real people as a result of its commercial activity in research, education, statistics, analysis and consultancy. The companies that make research and are also the customers of Think Great Insights, can provide the Think Great Insight company with the customer list, the list of employees, distributors etc. within the scope of the related projects. It can transmit the data they hold in their own body. Think Great Insights acquires various data within the scope of the research projects it carries out both within its own and with 3rd party field companies.
The personal data of the research participants are provided voluntarily by the relevant persons. The data of the research participants are also provided through other field companies, research companies or marketing companies that Think Great Insights has purchased as 3rd Party services, provided that they share information with the consent of those concerned. The personal data about research participants have been obtained through the ways such as non-automated or web-based online research techniques, notes taken in face-to-face interviews, filling out printed forms, recording of face-to-face responses by interviewers, audio and video recordings, phone calls.
Within the framework of advertisements published on the website of Think Great Insights, on the internet and social media, personal data shared by real people are also evaluated within this framework.
In addition to the research participants, data regarding the employees and shareholders of all business partners with whom they have commercial relations during their activities, including real-person suppliers such as interviewers, moderators, coding staff and translators; real person consultants such as lawyer, accountant, and customers, and candidates applying for jobs are evaluated within the scope of personal data.
- Processing of Personal Data
If it is mandatory for the legitimate interests of Think Great Insights, your personal data may be processed, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms. We would like to remind you that we can process your personalized data personally by you within the framework given above and to the extent permitted by the relevant legislation.
Apart from the situations mentioned above, the fact that the person who is unable to explain his consent due to actual impossibility or whose legal validity is not given consent is compulsory for the protection of his or someone else’s life or body integrity is regulated in the Law as another situation in which personal data can be processed.
Personal Data are processed in accordance with the procedures and principles stipulated in the Law and this Policy. Think Great Insights operates with the following principles when processing Personal Data:
- Personal Data are processed in accordance with the relevant legal rules and the requirements of the integrity rule.
- Personal Data is provided to be accurate and up-to-date. In this context, issues such as determining the sources from which the data are obtained, verifying their accuracy, and evaluating whether they need to be updated are carefully considered.
- Personal Data; it is processed for specific, clear and legitimate purposes. The purpose is legitimate means that the Personal Data processed by Think Great are linked to and required by the business or service it provides.
- Personal Data is collected in connection with and limited to the aforementioned purposes. Processing of Personal Data that is not related to the realization of the purpose or not needed is avoided. Personal Data processed in this context are linked, limited and measured for the purpose for which they are processed.
- You will be provided with the opportunity to update your Personal Data when necessary.
- If there is a period envisaged in the relevant legislation for data retention, it complies with these periods; otherwise, Personal Data is retained only for the time required for the purpose for which they were processed.
- If there is no valid reason for further storage of Personal Data, the data in question is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.
- Sharing Personal Data
In order to ensure that your personal data is complete and flawless of the services provided to you and only to the extent that is in line with the quality of the service, our business and solution partners, and other third parties who perform similar operations on our behalf, with the Think Great Insights employee who conducts field coordination of research projects, or Think Great company. It can be shared with other research and / or field companies, or survey team, supervisor, moderator, research team and team supporting the translation and voice to text documentation of the interview records, and / or the business partners with which they work.
Think Great Insights requires that those who process data that it transfers for business purposes, on the basis of the contract, only process and secure that data in accordance with the Think Great Insights instructions. These data processors cannot use or disclose information other than those authorized by Think Great Insights to comply with legal requirements.
The personal data of the research participants are not shared with the institutions that make the research without the explicit consent of them within the legal reasons listed above.
Apart from these, in order to provide the service in a complete and flawless manner, if it is required the data must be shared with other third parties; if it is mandatory for Think Great Insights to fulfill its legal obligations, if it is clearly prescribed in law or there is a judicial / administrative order given in accordance with the law, your data can only be transferred to the relevant person or institution.
Some personal data may only be shared with advertisers in an anonymized form, together with information from other users, so that ads can be adapted to the target audience. Anonymized data is information that cannot be matched with our visitors / customers, does not contain your credentials or make your identity identifiable. Your anonymized data is secured.
- Retention Time of Personal Data
Your personal data is kept for a maximum of 10 (ten) years pursuant to Article 182 of the Turkish Commercial Code and Article 146 of the Turkish Code of Obligations, unless longer periods are stipulated in the legislation.
Your personal data can be anonymized and stored for an unlimited period of time. Anonymizing means that all personal information such as name, surname, mail, address, TR identity number and date of birth are deleted and stored.
- Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data
In accordance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, everyone applies by applying to the data controller; Learning whether personal data is processed,
- If personal data is processed, requesting information about it,
- Learning the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with its purpose,
- To know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad,
- Requesting correction of your missing or incorrectly processed personal data
- Requesting your personal data to be deleted or destroyed or anonymized if the reasons for processing are eliminated.
- Of these transactions; requesting notification to third parties to whom your personal data is transferred,
- To object to the emergence of a result against yourself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- It has the right to demand the compensation of the damage caused by the personal data being processed illegally.

The right / request you want to use with your identity information should be clearly stated in your request and necessary explanations should be made by adding all the information and documents subject to your request.
Requests submitted to us and having the necessary qualifications will be finalized within 30 (thirty) days depending on the nature of the request and the result will be notified to you in writing or electronically in accordance with the feedback procedure you have selected in your request. In the event that the action to be fulfilled to meet your request also requires a cost, the fee permitted by the relevant legislation will be charged.
